Windows Systems Engineer (File Management)

The company: our customer JUNGHEINRICH is a German multinational Corporation that operates all over the world since more than 65 years and is one of the leading providers of Logistics industry. More than 18,000 employees and around 4.000 M€ revenue. They will hire the selected candidate as an internal and permanent employee of them, based in Madrid, but providing services to their global organization.

Personal Skills Requirements and Job Conditions

Job location: Madrid. European Union citizen otherwise valid job permit mandatory. At least two days per week remote work allowed.

Expected travel: Not regularly, just some short trip when needed, possibly to Hamburg once in a while, maybe 2-3 times per year.

Education and Training:

  • BSc or Master in Computer Sciences or an equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Windows certifications valuable, but not required.


  • Spanish: Native language, otherwise business fluent, B2 level.
  • English: Very good Business English required (excellent communication skills). B2/C1 level.

Organizational position: Reporting to the Cloud Software Services Lead (located in Hamburg).

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, as internal employee.

Salary: Depending on experience.

Description of the position:

To foster our growth at our development and IT services site in the city centre of Madrid, we are looking for a File Management Engineer in a permanent, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Operational support and further development of our worldwide File Management infrastructure which includes the subject areas File Server and File Transfer on a second/third level
  • Process as well as technical support for our users in the migration path from FileServer data storage to modern public cloud solutions
  • Development of processes and solutions and their support in cooperation with our business in the entire field of document management from creation up to archiving
  • Service-oriented optimization services for our global, sensitive File Server environments as well as our critical data exchange platforms to our customers and suppliers
  • Significant contribution to the development of private and public cloud projects and their implementation in the area of file management solutions
  • Working with interdisciplinary administrators from different infrastructure departments as a part of an international team

Working Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of professional File Management experience (windows and cloud).

Professional skills:

Mandatory skills:

  • High analytical skills combined with good judgment
  • Practical experience in the following four areas of work:
    • comfortable working in a complex File Server environment
    • excellent knowledge of Public cloud Storage solutions like Onedrive and Sharepoint
    • excellent knowledge of various File Transfer protocols (sFTP, FTP etc.)
    • excellent knowledge of Windows PowerShell

  • Ability to travel if needed
