SAP FI Responsible Consultant

Description of the position:

We are looking for a responsible person for the SAP FI area to join our team in a permanent, full-time position which will be responsible to manage different projects, change requests, new initiatives and daily activities to support Finance activities and processes.

Organizational position: Reporting to the Application Support & New Development Manager (located in Madrid).

 

Key Responsibilities and tasks:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Finance IS&P processes, projects and initiatives from a technical point of view.
  • Daily support to finance users in all departments.
  • Manage budget and cost of our IT vendor (tickets and change requests).
  • Daily guarantee treasury position is reflected in SAP, by supporting Finance users in case of any issues.

 

Main tasks are:

  • To support daily operative and incidents.
  • To lead finance and treasury IS&P projects.
  • To coordinate users with external partners in change requests, projects or incidents.
  • To maintain a harmonized and uniformed system coordinating HQ with all Organizational Units.

 

Working Experience:

  • More than 3 years of experience into IT department managing different projects among all business areas in a Consulting role within SAP environment.
  • Strong communication skills, proactively and openness to search for alternatives and new ways of working
  • Professional experience in multinational companies.
  • ABAP development skills and previous experience, allowing him/her to review and understand a program.
  • Used to daily deal with finance users and their main activities, like month closing processes.

 

Professional skills:

Mandatory skills:

  • Solid knowledge in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0, with functional and technical experience, desirable in international companies.
  • SAP Modules knowledge, specially: FI (AP, AR, AA, GL, Real Estate).
  • Treasury and Risk Management (TR/TRM) is very relevant for the position.
  • Other modules will be appreciated (CO, CO-PA…).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Business Planning Consolidation (BPC) and Bank Communication Management (BCM) solutions experience is important to have.
  • Professional experience in Business Data Warehouse tools (mainly in SAP BW) and/or another BI platform, valued.
  • S/4HANA and Budgeting and Forecasting Processes expertise will be highly taking into consideration.

  • Teamwork capacity.
  • Able to work in multilanguage and multicultural teams.
  • Self-learner willing to keep updated in new technologies.

Education and Training:

  • Completed University studies preferably in Business Administration / Finance / Economics or Technical degree with strong background in Financial areas.

Languages:

  • Spanish: Business fluent.
  • English:  Business English required. B2/C1 level (no certification needed, but spoken fluency is a must).

The company: our customer is a multinational corporation that operates over 40 countries for more than 70 years and is one of the leading providers in the Auxiliary Construction industry, providing mineral-based building insulation materials. More than 1,800 employees and 13 Production Sites across Europe. They will hire the selected candidate as an internal and permanent employee, based in Madrid, but providing services to their global European organization.

Job location: Madrid.

Expected travel: Very limited but should be open if a sporadic trip was required.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, as internal employee.

Salary: Depending on experience. Fixed plus bonus scheme.
