Customer Remote Support Engineer (Madrid-hybrid)
The company: our customer is a German multinational called JUNGHEINRICH (JDS) that operates all over the world for more than 60 years and is one of the leading providers of Logistics industry. More than 18,000 employees and around 4.000 M€ revenue. They will hire the selected candidate as an internal and permanent employee, based in Madrid, but providing services to their global organization.
Description of the position:
We are seeking passionate Customer Remote Support Engineers to join our Support team in a permanent, full-time position.
We look for several professionals who will supports Jungheinrich to establish and run the technical solution for the customer remote support that enables our aftersales departments to support devices/trucks at customer site remotely.
Working from home at least 3 days a week is allowed.
Organizational position: Reporting to the Head of Internal Customer Support Services (located in Hamburg).
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
- Adoption of the current technical solution for remote support of our Jungheinrich solutions on customer site.
- Perform operational tasks for the environment and ensure reliability and security.
- Development of a modern solution based on on-premise infrastructure and cloud technology along with other involved parties.
- Design of the new technical Service within central IT.
- Implementation of the customer requirement ==> Establishes new connections and continuously optimizes the associated processes and solution
- First and second Level Support to the central customer remote maintenance solution ==> Later, migration of 1st Level support to the IT-Service Desk
- Creation and maintenance of documentation or knowledge base articles to support colleague
Working Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience as Technology Consulting and Support.
Professional skills:
Mandatory skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Client environment and related standard operational processes.
- Experience with virtualized environments in on-premise and public cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS).
- Experience with Windows Server Networks and related services (DNS, DHCP, AD).
- Experience with network environments in general and basic operational processes for:
- Firewalls
- Static Routing
- VPN Site 2 Site
- ITIL and operational process understanding
Additional valuable skills:
- Scripting (PowerShell).
- Virtual Workplace solution (like Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix etc.).
Personal skills:
- High IT-security awareness.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Analytical problem solver.
- Experienced in working with international teams.
- Project experience, ideally also in an agile environment.
- Communication skills, self-motivation and willingness to learn.
- Creative will and high level of personal responsibility.
Education and Training:
- University Degree/Bachelors’ Degree: Degree in Business information technology, Computer Sciences, Maths or comparable education with corresponding professional experience.
Languages:
- English: Very good Business English required (excellent communication skills), B2 level.
- Spanish & German: Valuable for the position, but not required at all.
Job Conditions:
Job location: Madrid.
Expected travel: Very limited, just a 1-2 days trip once a year, only during the weekdays, to the global headquarters in Hamburg (Germany) for teaming and alignment.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, as internal employee.
